A Note from the Auditors: Front-Line Perspectives on IG Performance Auditing and Evaluations

This discussion will focus on successes and challenges in IG audit and evaluation functions from the auditors' perspectives. It will discuss internal processes and opportunities that help auditors develop necessary skills. Importantly, this will recognize that there is no "school" for performance auditing; rather, auditors come to this work with diverse skill sets.


Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will learn to recognize that despite following common standards, there are many paths to success in building an IG audit team.
  • Kickstart a more regular dialogue among audit teams in the chapter membership, as well as provide tools to local IG offices looking to establish or develop their own audit functions.
