The Association of Inspectors General presents the webinar, "FEAR NOT: Investigating Conflicts-of-Interest Cases" on February 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM (EST)/11 AM (CST)/9 AM (PST).

Conflicts of Interest (COI) are some of the most unique, challenging, and sensitive investigations that an Office of Inspector General (OIG) can undertake. No matter how the issue arose, whether in an audit, evaluation, inspection, or hotline complaint, COI cases generally have the same process and considerations. This interactive session will present a framework to break down various aspects of a COI case for investigators who are reviewing allegations and auditors who are conducting reviews to identify potential red flags. The session will also provide tools, resources, and case studies to help illustrate the principles of COI investigations and enhance the confidence for all OIG staff members to identify, detect, prevent, and investigate these cases. The training will be held on WebEx from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM (Eastern)/11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Central)/9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Pacific).
